Base

Base subprojects contains utility classes and extensions to be used in OPS4J projects.

In order to minimize dependencies and improve modularity, the Base project is split into very fine-grained modules.

Details on each module can be found in the API documentation. Each subproject is linked to the corresponding Javadocs in the following list.

ops4j-base-spi Utilities for obtaining services via the Java SE 6 ServiceLoader

ops4j-base-store — Utilities for storing and retrieving data from an InputStream.

ops4j-base-util — Utilities/Extensions related to environment, i18n and mime types

ops4j-base-util-property — Utilities/Extensions related to resolving properties from different sources

All JARs are OSGi R4 Bundles.

OPS4J Base 1.3.0 released

OPS4J Base 1.3.0 comes with two new subprojects and some maintenance updates.

ops4j-base-exec — Utilities for running a Java class in a separate process (factored out from Pax Runner)
ops4j-base-spi Utilities for obtaining services via the Java SE 6 ServiceLoader

OPS4J Base continues to be compatible with Java 1.4. Only the ops4j-base-spi module requires a Java 6 runtime.

Master POM 1.0.6 and OPS4J Base 1.2.2 released!

As a prerequisite for releasing the upstream projects Pax Exam and Pax Runner the following projects have been released:

OPS4J Master 1.0.6

this is a root pom project. this "release" mostly added stable plugin versions.
it also makes the latest version available on central again (1.0.5 was not available on central for some reason)

OPS4J Base 1.2.2

Both releases a generally available through Maven Central.
