Mandate

The current interim Executive is given a mandate by the community, that during the initial 18 months, prepare all the procedures and guidelines of the OPS4J community, and to be finalized in a vote before the interim period expires. The Executive is also charged with the task to establish OPS4J as a membership-based legal entity, somewhere in the world.

Guideline

The Principle of Common Sense applies, and the Executive will consult the rest of the community for advice, and engage in active debate on how this community should be organized. This discussion can take place over instant messaging to improve feedback cycles, but vetted on the general@ mailing list every now and then.

The establishment of the organization as a legal entity should not be hastened, and basic legal advice should be obtained (subject to funding of that).
